‘Gokul’ the Children Home, which is an important wing of Matrumandir, was initiated in 1963 for the care, education and rehabilitation of destitute children. Two separate Homes one at Devrukh with 50 girls and other at Oni with 25 boys are now catering the services of which Gokul, Oni is being independently managed. Majority of the inmates in these homes is in the age group of 8 to 18 years. The homes are managed by two experienced and committed social workers, who ensure proper growth of inmates instilling in them the discipline, culture and capabilities. Matrumandir often tries to help the grown-ups to settle down in their lives and also help arranging their marriages.
